Shunned At A Funeral - Magdala

Cool by the shore
In more than before of
Magdala's lore
Where whispers would shimmer
And glimmer and simmer
At every door
And stories would ripple
And triple and triple
Of her once tour of
Mary who wandered
And squandered
Then pondered the savior's more
And the tales would quiver
River softly
As they'd say
How your mercy tender
Sent a call to her from the fray
We've heard how your light in the night
Brought her sight again bright
We've heard how she followed your footprints
With hope burning white
We've heard our calling kept calling
Like dawn over all
We've heard of the pride of magdala
The one you loved through all
They said seven sorrows
Would harrow and narrow her soul
In the deep
And shadows would press her
And stress her distress her
Till none could sleep
But you came free her
And be her redeemer
A promise to keep
And Magdala hushed
As you brushed her
And crushed every dark mist tear
And her footsteps quivered
Silver still alone on waves
As we tell how glory
Carried her that day
We've heard how your light in the night
Brought her sight again bright
We've heard how she followed your footprints
With hope burning white
We've heard how her calling kept falling
Like dawn over all
We've heard of the pride of magdala
The one you loved through all
For her sorrow found its ending
And her ashes and singing
Learned to bloom
For the risen one came calling
And singing
Through the shadows of the tomb
And the hope she carried forward
Lights the shoreline still today
For the
Christ who lifted mary
Still can lift our hearts the same
We've heard how your light in the night
Brought her sight again bright
We've heard how she followed your footprints
With hope burning white
We've heard how her calling kept falling
Like dawn over all
We've heard of the pride of magdala
The one you loved through all
We've heard how your light in the night
Brought her sight again bright
We've heard how she followed your footprints
With hope burning white
We've heard our calling kept falling
Like dawn over night
We've heard of the pride of magdalene
The one you loved through
