At dawn when the rain refused to stop,
my shoes were always soaked.
Not even knowing where I was heading, I kept moving toward
the road ahead.
The question, "Are you doing okay?"
always arrived far too late.
And the single word, give up, breathed quietly behind my back.
Still, the reason I never stopped was because at the end of this road,
I could faintly see
the person I would become.
I am still here
without falling apart.
Standing once again
on top of my scars.
The stronger the wind became,
the deeper my footsteps grew.
And what remained until the end was a heart still facing forward.
There was not much left in my hands,
and nowhere left to turn back.
The days I smiled through the pain became strength within my soul.
Even without a single voice believing in me.
Because I never let go of myself, this road keeps going.
Not because I had no fear, but because I embraced it and still found the strength to take one more step.
I am still walking
beyond the darkness.
Standing right here,
holding on to every breath.
Every place where I fell
has left behind a reason.
And what remains in the end are the footsteps that never gave up.
If right now
you have stopped for a moment, even that place
is still part of the journey.
If you are out of breath and have lowered your head, it does not mean
you have turned- Turn back.
In the end,
I will keep moving
toward a place no one else can reach for me.
It is all right to tremble
as long as I
do not stop.
After all these hardships,
only one thing remains.
Only those who walk to the very end can call out their own name.
The person I am today
is just a little
farther ahead than the person
I was
yesterday.
And that
is enough.
