Shunned At A Funeral - Remember Me

The past comes crashing like a
Freight train wall.
Every name
I wore
Every rise and fall.
I hear old
Voices calling what
I was, dragging
Broken chains through the dust and blood.
I try to outrun every word
I said, every bridge i
Burned, every prayer
I prayed.
The mirror keeps score, it remembers me
Every stolen breath, every mercy i
Didn't see.
I've got nothing
Left but these open hands.
No
Defense to raise, no excuse to stand.
If there's still a place at your
Side somehow
I'm asking now.
Oh, please.
Oh, please, my
Lord, remember me
As you sit on your throne
In eternity.
I've got no crown, no claim to be, just a sinner
Begging mercy on my knees.
Oh, please.
Oh, please, my
Lord, remember me.
I don't ask for gold or a borrowed throne.
Just don't leave me standing
Here alone.
I wore my shame like a second skin
And let regret preach louder than
The truth within.
I've counted the cost
Of the the
I chose, every door i
Every grace
I froze, but
I see you bleeding
Beside of me, still looking at me like
You can still see
Something worth saving
Beneath the blame, calling me child
And not
Calling my name.
I've got nothing
Left but these open hands, no defense
To raise, no excuse to stand.
There's still a place that you'll save somehow.
I'M ASKING NOW.
OH, PLEASE, OH, PLEASE, my
Lord, remember me
As you sit on your throne in eternity.
I've got no crown, no claim to be, just a sinner begging mercy on my knees.
Oh, please.
Oh, please, my
Lord, remember me.
I've heard you promise paradise
To thieves.
I've
Heard you open doors no one believes.
If grace can reach a cross like mine
Then maybe there's still
Hope this time.
Oh, please, oh, please, my
Lord, remember me
As you sit on your throne in eternity.
I've got no crown, no claim to be, just
A sinner begging mercy on my knees.
Oh, please.
Oh, please, my
Lord, remember me.
Hey
If you remember me.
Remember me that
I need you.
